Microsclerotherapy
Microsclerotherapy is the gold standard treatment for thread veins and has been shown to be the most effective type of treatment for thread veins.
To treat thread veins, very fine micro needles are used to access the veins, followed by the injection of diluted liquid sclerosant, causing them to fade or disappear over time.

Micro sclerotherapy is similar to phone sclerotherapy in that there is a maximum safe limit that can be injected in a single treatment session. For patients with multiple extensive thread veins, it may be recommended to have a second treatment for adequate clearance. Once the treatment is complete compression stockings are applied to each leg and must be worn for seven days.
